Global Health Action is seeking masters-level intern(s) to help design and lead a quantitative evaluation of our Goat Program in Haiti. Specifically, this project seeks to evaluate the impact of the program by conducting an evaluation using quantifiative methodologies. The evaluation should provide valuable feedback on the impact of the program on target beneficiaries. The position will require a commitment of approximately 4 months as well as travel to Haiti.

We are currently seeking an intern to translate our Field Office operations manual from English into French. The manual, which is currently being developed for our Haiti field office, includes sections on financial procedures, facilities maintenance, and human resources.
Requirements

  • Native-level fluency in English and French required
  • Ability to work on the project to completion, approximately 6 weeks for 10-15 hours per week.
  • Very strong writing and organization skills are required
  • Experience in translating technical writing is preferred
  • Cross-cultural communication skills helpful

We are currently seeking a Marketing and Development Intern to assist in the promotion of our programs and activities.
Position Duties & Responsibilities
Under the guidance and supervision of the Executive Director and GHA staff, the Marketing and Development Intern will learn and perform many tasks, including:

  • Write press releases, newsletter articles, and entries for social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter;
  • Explore web-based research and publicity opportunities;
  • Compile/update PowerPoint presentations, image/video files, and GHA display board;
  • Assist in coordinating and publicizing events such as fundraisers, receptions, and GHA Briefing and
  • volunteer fairs;
  • Assist with correspondence and mailings; and
  • Assist with the production of collateral materials.
