2012 Spring Internship

Monitoring & Evaluation-Haiti Programs

 We are currently seeking a Monitoring and Evaluation Intern to assist with our ongoing programs and activities in Haiti.

Position Duties & Responsibilities: Under the guidance and supervision of the Program Manager, the Monitoring and Evaluation Intern will learn and perform many tasks, including:

•    Researching appropriate Monitoring and Evaluation methodologies for GHA’s Haiti programs related to community health and rural development.  

•    Reviewing existing data collection tools and identifying improvements.

•    Designing easy-to-use, context specific and updated templates for data collection (using Excel or other Office applications).

•    Reviewing existing data, data cleaning and analysis.

Requirements:

•    Graduate student in international studies, public health, economics, statistics or related academic study. 

•    Coursework in Monitoring & Evaluation, or prior work experience in similar area. 

•    Excellent statistical skills.

•    Excellent written and verbal skills.

•    Computer skills including word processing (Microsoft Word), spreadsheets (Excel); familiarity with database design and management.

•    Academic/Professional interest in international health and development.

•    Fluency in English required; fluency in French extremely useful.

•    Commit to work at least 20 hours per week.

Work with GHA program staff and other interns and volunteers at GHA’s Headquarters (1902 Clairmont Road, Decatur, GA).
