Global Health Action’s on-going work in China began in 2001 when GHA formally absorbed the programs and assets of the Institute for Development Training, including a pilot project focused on women’s health and reproductive health in Heilongjiang Province. Today in China, GHA is collaborating on projects with a number of partners.

Amity Foundation
Providing organizational and project management training to support China’s emerging non-profit sector.

Heilongjiang Province Public Health Bureau
A long-term positive impact on the knowledge and health of nearly two million rural women.

Nanjing Population Program Management College (NPC) and Nanjing Population Program Training Center International (NITC)
Collaborating on a pilot project to improve the health and development of left-behind rural adolescents whose parents are part of China's “floating population."

National Population and Family Planning Commission of China
Developing and providing custom-designed public health leadership and management courses for Commission officials since 2002.

The Executive Seminar on Strategies and Best Practices on Global Issues of Gender, Migration, HIV & AIDS and Human Development will take place March 25-30, 2012. Register by February 10, 2012 to qualify for scholarships.  More details are available on the seminar page!
